The title says it all: Because you have a social life, a family, or some other obstacle that keeps you from watching TV like it’s your job, you have me.
My TV watching philosophy (since you asked) is that I am looking to be amused and entertained. If I learn something, that’s all to the good, but I don’t want it shoved in my face. I don’t like torture or anything about hurting kids (or much worse — dogs!) so you won’t find a lot of the procedurals reviewed on here.
What will you find?
–Comedy, humor, satire and stand up. My passions.
–Costume drama and other pretentious nonsense (except Downton Abbey — I’m a writer so I have to have some standards)
–My guide to What to Watch Each Week
Not so much —
–Reality. I get enough of that in my real life.
P.S., I started this blog for my friend Alex, who just adopted a terrific kid and has a full-time high-powered job. Alex and I met in LA as wanna-be TV and screenwriters and he now needs me to watch TV for him, as his life is too busy now.
